When you arrive for your appointment one of our registered veterinary technologists (RVT) will escort you into an examination room and begin collecting your pet’s vitals and a brief history.  In an emergency situation, our team will promptly transfer your pet to our back treatment area for assessment,  while other members of our team gather pertinent information and history from you.

Our veterinarians will begin by performing a physical assessment of your pet and obtaining a full history from you by asking you questions pertinent to your pet’s overall health and/or presenting concern. This will aid the veterinarian in determining the best possible diagnostic and treatment options for your pet.  The veterinarian will discuss their concerns with you as well as any recommended diagnostics options (such as bloodwork, xrays, etc) and present a treatment plan detailing the associated costs.  We will always offer the gold standard of care for your pet and help you to find the options that best suit you, your pet’s needs and your budget.

If your pet is hospitalized with us, we require a deposit of the full amount of the estimate to perform diagnostics and begin treatment.  This allows our team to focus on our patients’ needs in the most timely and efficient manner.  A treatment plan can change dependent on results of diagnostic testing, how your pet is responding to their current treatment or unforeseen complications of their condition.  We will communicate to you any suggested change in care as well as provide you with a revised estimate of the associated costs.  It is common for clients to receive a refund upon their pet being discharged.

We understand that unexpected expenses can arise and know that it can be difficult to navigate them without some help.  We do not bill/extend credit but we are happy to offer a variety of payment options (as detailed above), including financing support through PayBright.  Completion of PayBright’s online application form is quick, easy and approval generally occurs within seconds.  PayBright requires a void cheque or pre-authorized debit (PAD) form as well as a piece of government issued photo ID at the time of financing.  Our team will gladly help walk you through the process.
